Bula family &amp; friends, Join us in Fiji to celebrate our wedding! This website should have all the details for now, and we’ll keep updating it as plans come together. Please RSVP by 30th June 2026. We know travelling to Fiji for a wedding is a big ask, and we completely understand that not everyone will be able to make the trip. For those who can, we’d absolutely love to celebrate with you! Please let us know as soon as possible either way, as early RSVPs really help us manage numbers and make sure we can include everyone who’s keen to join the celebrations. Our Wedding

Claire and Jack’s story began in November 2019, when fate (and a desperate need for a new flat) brought Claire, Jack and Jack’s cousin James together at the beautiful Haronui residence in Greenlane. Claire had known James for years through work, but Jack remained a mystery… until move-in day.-What started as a very practical living arrangement between Claire and Jack quickly turned into a friendship fuelled by a slightly concerning love for food (hello Sweet Chilli Philly and Meadowbank Pizzeria), good times, COVID lockdowns and Claire’s cat, Maria.-After a year of living together - supporting each other through dating apps, various bad decisions, eating far too much and laughing even more, the line between friends and something more started to disappear. Following a day on Waiheke with friends, a first kiss at Family Bar on K Road made it official (classy). Turns out building a relationship on friendship, humour and snacks was a pretty solid plan. Let’s not forget, at the time, dating your flatmate felt like verrrry risky business… but when it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be.-Since then, they’ve made a home together on Rewa Road, watched Jack survive a PhD and write an actual thesis (!!!), seen Claire continue to level up in her career, escaped on countless NZ getaways, travelled Europe for nine unforgettable weeks, and continued raising Maria. Now, they’re on their greatest adventure yet - raising their daughter Poppy… and, just to add to the fun, planning a wedding.

How it all began...

Our Story

Saturday 5 June 20273.00pm - 10.30pmSofitel Fiji Resort &amp; Spa, Denarau Island, Nadi Our ceremony will begin at 3:00pm, followed by drinks and canapés on the beachfront as the sun begins to set. Guests will then join us for the evening reception, including dinner, speeches, and plenty of dancing. The formal celebrations will conclude at 10:30pm. However, for the party animals, Republik Nightclub will be open for kick-ons onsite for anyone keen to keep the dance floor going. ⸻ Sunday 6 June 20273.00pm - 6.00pmSuka Bar, Sofitel Fiji Resort &amp; Spa, Denarau Island, Nadi We’ll be hosting a casual day-after gathering in the afternoon with drinks and nibbles for anyone who would like to join us. Kids and any partners or family you’re travelling with are more than welcome.

Flights The closest international airport is Nadi International Airport, located about 20 minutes from Denarau Island where all the celebrations will take place. Direct flights from Auckland to Nadi take around 3 hours and are operated by: •	Fiji Airways•	Air New Zealand Flights usually become available around 11 months in advance, so we recommend starting to look from around July–September 2026. We’re also in the process of organising a discount code with Fiji Airways for our guests. It likely won’t be huge, but every little bit helps! We’ll share the details here as soon as we have them, so keep an eye out before booking if you can. ⸻ Passports A quick but important reminder to check your passport! To enter Fiji, your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your return date and in good condition. If yours is getting close to expiry, it’s a good idea to renew it early to avoid any last-minute stress. ⸻ Getting to Denarau Once you land at Nadi International Airport, it’s an easy 20-minute taxi or shuttle ride to Denarau Island. Taxis and transfers are readily available at the airport and can take you directly to your hotel.

June is a popular time to visit Fiji and accommodation can fill up quickly, so we recommend securing your stay as soon as possible. Travelling with children? Many resorts offer kids’ clubs or babysitting services, so it’s worth asking about childcare options when booking. Airport transfers. Most resorts are only a short taxi or shuttle ride from Nadi International Airport. If you’re staying at a resort, they can usually organise transfers for you - just ask when making your booking.

Thank you so much for understanding. ⸻ Q: Do you have a gift registry?Your presence at our wedding is honestly the greatest gift, especially since you are travelling all the way to Fiji to celebrate with us. However, for those who have asked, we will have a wishing well at the ceremony if you would like to contribute towards our honeymoon. Absolutely no pressure at all — we’re just so grateful to celebrate with our favourite people. ⸻ Q: What will the weather be like?June is one of the best times of year to visit Fiji. Expect warm days, cooler evenings and lower humidity. Average temperatures are around 23–27°C, so light, breathable clothing is ideal. ⸻ Q: What currency is used in Fiji?The local currency in Fiji is the Fijian Dollar (FJD). Most resorts, restaurants and shops around Denarau Island accept credit and debit cards, so you won’t need to carry large amounts of cash. That said, it can be handy to have a small amount of Fijian dollars for things like taxis, markets or small purchases. ATMs are available at the airport and around Denarau if you’d prefer to withdraw cash once you arrive. ⸻ Q: Can I use my phone in Fiji?Yes, most phones will work in Fiji, but international roaming charges can be quite expensive depending on your provider. If you’re travelling from New Zealand, many mobile providers offer international roaming packs that allow you to use your usual data, calls and texts for a daily fee while overseas. It’s a good idea to check with your provider before you travel to see what options are available. Wi-Fi is widely available at hotels, resorts and cafes around Denarau Island, so most guests find they can stay connected easily. For longer stays, some travellers also choose to purchase a local Fiji SIM card at Nadi International Airport, which can be a cost-effective option for data while exploring. Make sure international roaming is enabled on your phone before leaving New Zealand if you plan to use your normal plan while abroad.

Note: Both the ceremony and reception will be on a grass lawn (not sand), so no need to worry about sinking heels!
